Pack 60

It’s time for our first Pack meeting/Event of the 2011-2012 scouting year, our annual Pack camp out which will be held on September 17 at the Nobscot Scout Reservation in Sudbury.

Here is a general list of supplies that each family will be responsible for providing:

Water bottle
Bug repellant
Tent
Sleeping bag
Pillows
Toiletries (Include Purell or other hand sanitizer)
Sleeping pads
Warm Clothes
Flashlight
Personal Toilet paper
Pajamas
Raincoat
Cub Scout Uniform
Personal Snacks

Here is the Family Camping Schedule. Dinner and breakfast will be served.

Saturday:

2:00 -4:00PM Arrival at Nobscot Scout reservation – Ellisland camping area.
2:00 -4:00 Den activities – den leader’s discretion
4:00 – 5:00 Scavenger Hunt
5:00 – 6:15 Dinner (Provided)
6:15 – 6:45 Clean up
6:45 – 7:30 Campfire/Pack Meeting/Welcome of Tigers
7:30 Departure for those that are not staying overnight
7:30-9 Hike or Storytelling at the Campfire or in your tents
9:00 pm Lights out
Sunday:

8:00 am Light Breakfast (provided)
9:00 Break Camp
10:00 am Leave Camp
Directions to Camp Nobscot:

Camp Nobscot is on Nobscot Road on the Sudbury/Framingham line. On Google map. Park and follow signs to Ellisland.

We will try to organize the camping areas by den so that your group can stay together.

Remember: A scout is always prepared!

The very popular Water Bottle Rocket event will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, August 22 in the rear of the Sudbury United Methodist Church. Please have each boy bring an empty 2 liter plastic bottle to decorate and use as a rocket. This event is open to all boys (and siblings) from grades 1-5, and we encourage scouts and parents to invite friends to join us and experience the fun of scouting. See you then!

We have confirmed the date of our campout and fishing derby. We will arrive at the Maynard Rod and Gun Club ( 45 Old Mill Road in Maynard) for our campfire and campout on the afternoon of Friday, June 17. We can begin setting up camp at 4:30 PM with the campfire/awards being held at approximately 6:45. Grilling is encouraged!

Fishing in the adjacent pond is the next morning, Saturday, June 18. We will plan on having our camp cleaned up and vacated by noon on Saturday.
