Pack 60

We will be holding our annual camp out and fishing Derby at the Maynard Rod and Gun Club beginning Friday night, June 15 and going into Saturday morning, June 16. We suggest the following supplies for a camp out:

Water bottle
Bug repellant
Tent
Sleeping bag
Pillows
Toiletries (Include Purell or other hand sanitizer)
Sleeping pads
Warm Clothes
Flashlight
Pajamas
Raincoat
Cub Scout Uniform
Personal Snacks

We will be camping in the field at the Club as we have done in the past and will fish at the trout pond beginning when the boys get up Saturday morning. Our camp will be cleaned up and vacated by noon. Please note that we will have access to bathrooms in the Clubhouse.

The probable schedule:

Friday, June 15
4:00 PM. Set up camp any time after school. If your son has a baseball or other game, feel free to set up your tent and then leave for the game/event.
4:00-6:30 PM Games.
6:30-7:30 PM Dinner
7:30-8:00 PM Cleanup
8:00 or 8:30 PM Campfire for Advancements and Awards
10:00 Lights Out

Saturday, June 16
6:00 AM Fishing
Clean up and Leave before noon.

Our annual sleep over will be at the Higgins Armory in Worcester this year. It is a fascinating museum with one of the largest collections of armor in the country. Pack 60 will be renting out the entire museum, and we are limited to 60 spots (includes parents and scouts). The Pack will be covering a large portion of the cost of this event, resulting in a low fee of $25 per participant. Please let Richard Cass know how many from your family will attend via email (richard_j_cass@yahoo.com) and mail him a check for $25 per person to his home at 7 Hayden Circle, Sudbury MA 01776.
