Pack 60

It’s time for Pack 60′s annual fall campout. This year we will be camping at Camp Resolute in Bolton. Please see the link below for directions and information about this great facility:

Please arrive anytime after 4:00 PM Saturday but no later than 5:30. We wil have a ceremony to welcome the new Tigers to our Pack, kick off the popcorn fund raiser, and have dinner outside. I’m sure there will also be some games and possibly a night hike before lights out. Click the Campout button on the menu bar on the right of this page for a list of recommended supplies.

Even if you can’t camp out, please feel free to come for the rest of the activities. Friends and family are cordially invited. Please notify your den leaders if you will attend so we can get an accurate headcount.

Our annual sleep over will be at the Higgins Armory in Worcester this year. It is a fascinating museum with one of the largest collections of armor in the country. Pack 60 will be renting out the entire museum, and we are limited to 60 spots (includes parents and scouts). The Pack will be covering a large portion of the cost of this event, resulting in a low fee of $25 per participant. Please let Richard Cass know how many from your family will attend via email (richard_j_cass@yahoo.com) and mail him a check for $25 per person to his home at 7 Hayden Circle, Sudbury MA 01776.

This month’s activities for the scouts of Pack 60:

1. Scouting for Food. Please distribute bags for food donations the week of Oct. 31. Donations will be collected on Saturday morning, Nov. 5 at the Pack cleanup.
2. Pack Cleanup at the Sudbury United Methodist Church (SUMC). Please be there at 8:30 AM sharp, and we will help with the ourdoor cleanup at the SUMC until 10:30 or so.
3. Pack Meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 15. The usual time and place (6:45 PM at the SUMC). The theme will be “First Aid” led by pack parent Dr. Benjamin Schneider.

Finally, I’d like to ask all scouts and dens to think about what you can do for your community during service month.
