A bubbly, soapy liquid nitrogen mixture just in time for Halloween!! Dick Williamson demonstrates the properties and science of liquid nitrogen to Sudbury Cub Scout Pack 60 on Oct 27, 2008.  The program is part of the MIT Lincoln Laboratory Community Outreach Program.

Pack 60 wins the “National Summertime Pack Award”.

The purpose of the National Summertime Pack Award is to encourage packs to provide a year-round program by continuing to meet during the time periods when school is out of session for several weeks or months. If a pack is in a ‘year-round school’ (or is part of a home-school association), the pack could earn the Summertime Pack Award by having a special pack activity during those breaks.

Last summer we had 5 organized events

1. Fishing Derby
2. Collings Foundation Open House
3. Central Massachusetts Spacemodeling Society (CMASS) club rocket launch
4. Letterboxing and geocaching on conservation land
5. Water launch rockets
